Nick Frost vs. Simon Pegg. Downtime.
What is so different about Simon Pegg and Nick Frost? The former is spending his spare time playing harmonica live on stage to thousands of people with Coldplay, and the latter is wearing a beige suite and clapping politely with the rest of the audience on Strictly Come Dancing. What’s all that about?
- I quite like Nick Frost on Man Stroke Woman. It’s occasionally funny, and I don’t even mind the long-lost Chuckle Brother on it.
- I didn’t like Simon Pegg’s How To Lose Friends & Alienate People. It was rarely funny, didn’t make any sense, and wasted good characters. What the fuck was the point of introducing his Dad and his special book into proceedings and then never mentioning him again? What was the point in the Jeff Bridges’ character other than an advert for Marlboro Lights and Pantene Pro-V Conditioner.
Anyway. You can’t save these as drafts, so my unedited thoughts have to be broadcasted to the world in the meantime.
